Pinching pennies leads to creativity. I am bent on making as much house cleaning and home beauty products as I can from scratch. I've got my counter spray cleaner "recipe" down. Here 'tis -- got it from the book Gorgeously Green and was developed by the author and Julia Roberts on Julia's kitchen floor.
2 cups water
1/2 cups distilled white vinegar
1 tsp pure castile soap
3/4 C hydrogen peroxide
20 drops tea tree oil
20 drops lavender or lemon grass essential oil
I am now buying hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol (for window cleaner) at Costco where it's a much better deal.
